Blitz

A Blitz is a 60-minute game for up to 24 players. Each player starts with three realms, and the most points at the end wins. Entry is paid in LORDS, every player gets a chest, and the season's best share its prize.

A Blitz map: realms, Hyperstructures rising, armies meeting.

How an hour goes

  1. Build. Your three realms start with stores, a garrison and a reserve of one troop type each. Build farms, resource buildings and barracks, and level your realms up.
  2. Explore. Armies reveal the map tile by tile. Each reveal scores points and sends Essence, labor or donkeys home.
  3. Take. Camps, Essence Rifts and Hyperstructures are guarded by bandits. Clear the guard and claim the structure for points; a Hyperstructure keeps scoring for as long as you hold it.
  4. Fight. Every realm can be attacked and captured from the first second. Defend yours and take others'.

When the 60 minutes end, the game records every player's points and place (Points, results and prizes).

What you can do

  • Play three realms, each dealt one troop type: Knights, Crossbowmen or Paladins.
  • Build, produce resources and troops, and let automation run production (Smart, Custom or Off).
  • Send goods and troops between your own holdings by donkey.
  • Deploy field armies, guard your structures, and merge armies across your realms.
  • Explore for Essence, labor and donkeys, and find dormant spires.
  • Attack any army or structure. Crossbowmen attack from 2 hexes away.
  • Capture realms, camps, Essence Rifts and Hyperstructures.
  • Open relic crates and activate their relics.
  • Chat with the other players.

What you can't do

  • Trade, or send anything to another player.
  • Raid a structure for its resources.
  • Produce resources from labor.
  • Bridge anything into or out of the game.
  • Form an alliance: every other player is an enemy.
  • Shelter behind immunity: no realm has any.
  • Keep playing after you lose your last realm. You can watch until the end.
